Week 6 planning for a reception class. This is changed from last years planning due to new maths small steps and a tweaks to weekly themes/activities. We also have a different format for guided reading to last year and some tweaks to foundation lessons too. Morning jobs to go out on tables and be completed as children come into school. Covering the following: Maths, linked to last weeks learning Phonics, differentiated 5 ways - writing words and simple sentences Writing, writing simple sentences Handwriting, following RWI progression of letters Scissor skills

The first week of term for us is only 2 days long, so rather than do an entire plan for this, I have just done a brief overview linking to the story ‘Room on the Broom’. This is the first book that we are going to explore using Drawing Club so seemed nice to link it all in together and immerse the children.
